Shame on You!

"We’ve been fooled so often by Liberals locally and Labour nationally, I’ve lost count.

The Windsor Liberals talked of a 1.5% council tax raise to get elected, but we must now endure an 8.9% rise.

The local Liberals talked of resolving the town hall issue, but they are spending £7.5m on their own offices while road maintenance is cut by £1m.

The local Liberals talked of solving Windsor’s parking problems, but they have simply increased the parking charges.

This is not the behaviour of honest and caring politicians, in my view, this is plain trickery.

In 1997 Labour said “education, education, education”, but we have one in four 11 year olds unable to read, write and add up properly.

They appointed a drug Czar, Keith Halliwell – remember him? - who would solve our drug problems, but we now have a record 1 million hard drug users.

They led us to war because weapons of mass destruction might hit British bases, but this turned out to be a completely false threat.

A little leeway is understandable. But if we’re willingly duped by carefully chosen emotive language, when we know the reality is very different, then we’re foolish.

Fool me once, shame on me; fool me twice…"
